The Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP) is a nonprofit umbrella organization uniting over 185 patient advocacy groups worldwide to elevate care, awareness, and equity for people living with allergies, asthma, COPD, atopic dermatitis, and other airways diseases.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria, GAAPP empowers patients and amplifies their voices across global health systems, research, and policy. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by allergic and respiratory conditions through education, advocacy, research, and access to care.

GAAPP serves as a strategic convener – connecting patient organizations, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to drive collaborative solutions. Its initiatives span multilingual patient education, shared decision-making tools, biologics awareness campaigns, and global observance of awareness days like World Lung Day, World Urticaria Day, and World Atopic Eczema Day.

With a commitment to scientific integrity and patient-centered impact, GAAPP supports member organizations in addressing local unmet needs while advancing international standards for diagnosis, treatment, and care.
